How to Fit Your KabinKurtain Cab Divider Curtain

Fitting in under a minute

Every KabinKurtain fits the same way although fitting points vary depending on vehicle type. There are no tools required and no rails, screws or glue. Tabs on the curtain push into your van’s headliner and between the B-pillar trim and vehicle main frame. It takes less than a minute to put up and you can take it down in seconds. The fit is 100% blackout, which makes it ideal for stealth camps and early nights.

What you need

  • Your KabinKurtain
  • Support pole (Pop-Top editions only) – supplied separately

Before you start

  • For VW T5-T6-T6.1 KLASSIC edition the captain’s seat backs need to be upright and forward of the seat belt trim

Step-by-step fitting (the vehicle used in this guide is VW T6.1 fitted with a KLASSIC edition)

  1. Unpack and unfold. Take the curtain out of its bag and find the top edge with the tabs. The “shiny” side faces towards the cockpit and windscreen.
  2. Start at one side. Push the first tab into the point between the roof and B-Pillar. You can start on either the driver’s or passenger side, whichever is easiest. Repeat on the opposite side and then insert the remaining tabs down each side.

  1. Work across the cab. Push each tab into the headliner in turn, so the top edge sits flush with the headliner.

  1. Fold up bottom. If you have a night heater fitted under the seat, fold up the bottom section and hold it in place using the additional tabs

That’s it: fitted in under a minute, with no tools required.

Removing and storing

  • Pull the tabs gently out one at a time.
  • Fold or roll the curtain and pack it into its compact bag.
  • You can leave it in place while driving, as long as the cab windows are closed. Note this will restrict your rear view.

Model notes

  • Captain seats (Klassic): These are made for a driver’s seat and a passenger captain chair, and they work with swivel seats.
